Hi!

Here's a little more about me (in third person - you're welcome.)

Megan was born in North Carolina, grew up in Texas, and then headed to NYC after graduating from Baylor University with a degree in Theater Performance. She moved to New York for theater, but quickly found a job in the fitness business and fell head over heels for helping people reach their goals.  “I truly believe that the fitness business is the only business that is completely positive – there’s just nothing negative about it. It’s all about bettering yourself,” says Megan. “To see people changing themselves from the inside out and being a part of that is such a blessing.” Megan began training and teaching all over NYC, eventually managed a gym in midtown, created a triathlon club, and competed in triathlon, marathon and duathlon races. She is a nationally recognized fitness instructor and has been featured in Elle magazine and Private Clubs magazine. The spin class that she developed was dubbed “spinertainment” where she used her performance skills to entertain as well as give people a great workout. Music execs took her classes and noticed her as a natural entertainer and motivator which led to encouraging her to move down to Nashville to pursue her dream. Megan hit Nashville running, and hasn’t stopped since!

Megan was the only female and top 6 finalist on The Next GAC Star landing her first big TV appearance with judges Desmond Child and Jack Ingram. She has worked with prominent singer/songwriters and producers to help shape her career. Some of the people she has worked with include Ted Hewitt (producer of Rodney Atkins), Nathan Chapman (producer of Taylor Swift), David Malloy, Josh Kelley, Anthony Smith, Frank Meyers, Brian White, and Christopher Stevens (Toby Mac) among many others. “I have been so lucky to be surrounded with such an amazing network of writers, musicians, performers and producers. I am continually blown away by the level of talent here in Nashville, and am so thankful to be working with such wonderful people.”

Megan has had publishing deals both in Nashville and New York City and has landed songs with Rascal Flatts, Chris Young, Craig Morgan's latest single, The Swon Brothers, Christian artist Jonny Diaz and many indie and international artists as well.  She has had numerous songs in movies, TV series and ads.  She is currently living in the Florida Keys where she is a divemaster and continues to travel to Nashville to write and produce.  She is also continually working on her duo project Paperhouse with the uber talented Shane Hines.  "It has definitely become more about the songs and the less about the business," Megan says.  "I want to work with great people and write memorable songs that have something to say."

No matter what Megan’s involvements have been, it always comes back to the music and affecting people. “I want to create music that moves people. I want to make people laugh, cry, FEEL… Music is life put to melody, so I hope that through my music, people can see who I am, what I’ve been through, and hopefully through that – they will find a piece of themselves in one of my songs.” Megan has a personal philosophy on which she is building her life and her career. “I hope to continue to grow while touching the lives of others through my music. No matter if there are 5,000 people or 5 people in the room that I’m performing in – if I connect with just one person, then I consider my job done.”
